An impressively located venue, situated by the sea between the Barbican and Plymouth Hoe, with views over Plymouth sound. They say they have a 400 person capacity for a buffet, or an 180 person capacity for a sit-down meal so they may be worth considering if you always wanted a large wedding by the seaside.

If you like the feeling of a gentle sea breeze on your face then this is the place for you. This is a very rural venue, right on the coast. Your hardier guests can even camp, with use of a kitchen, toilets and shower facilities. Do investigate though, they really do have some good facilities for your wedding with several great spaces to use.

Shilstone is a restored Georgian Manor House and a family home set in several hundred acres of countryside. The house itself has won numerous awards, so you will be surrounded by lovely things on your wedding day. They have a Marquee and a Rustic Barn to cover all weather situations, and the catering options look impressive.

At this venue, a working dairy, beef and sheep farm is the background to your wedding. They have a licensed barn to transform for use from your ceremony to your wedding reception while you and your guests enjoy a drink. There is also an option to hire a marquee. You get the venue for four days so that you can organise things as you like.

This venue has an interesting approach to weddings, midway between a hotel and a basic barn option. Their barns & farmhouse can accommodate up to 40 of your guests on site and they have an in house catering team and on-site bars etc. Worth investigating to see if the balance is right for your needs.
